In den letzten Jahren ist meine Liebe zum Papier eine switch-on-switch-off Beziehung. Die oberen ATCs sind neu und das untere ist von 2010, alle drei sind für einen Tausch.

In the last year I have a "switch-on-switch-off" love to making paper art. The two ATCs in the first row are new and the one at the bottom is from 2010, all of them are made for a trade.

Wednesday Stamper : Löffel / Spoons

Diese Einladungskarte zu einem Essen ist mein Beitrag zum Wednesday Stamper : Löffel . Die Stadt und das schnörkelige Etikett sind Stempel von Zettiology, die Löffel sind von Character Constructions. Der Hintergrund ist selbst marmoriertes Papier. Durch den Scan der durch die Brads unebenen Karte, wirkt sie leider schief.
This invitation card for a dinner is my entry for the Wednesday Stamper : Spoons . The city skyline and the label with ornaments are stamps from Zettiology, the spoons are from Character Constructions. The background is marbled paper I have made. The card is uneven because of the brads. So the scan shows an askewed card.

SaWo : Collage

This collage card is my entry for Saturday Workout : Make a collage . I like the idea of a big dance night for people in vampire costums in the forest.

Crazy Amigo Challenge : Nature

Diese Karte ist für Crazy Amigo Challenge.
Ich mag die alten Schränke im naturhistorischen Museum. Die Abbildung im Hintergrund zeigt so einen Schrank mit unendlich vielen Schubfächern. Die bunten Käfer sind auf einer Folie ausgedruckt und darübergeklebt. Die Stempel sind von Oxford Impressions. Das Tag ist mit Glimmer Mist und Adirondack Washers gesprüht, darauf ist ein Collagebild von ArtChix.
This is my entry for Crazy Amigo Challenge.
I love those old furniture in the naturehistorical museum. The picture in the background shows such a cupboard with many drawers. The colored bugs are printed on transparency and glued on the background. All stamp images are from Oxford Impressions. The tag is sprayed with glimmer mist and Adirondack Washers, the collage picture is from ArtChix.

Wednesday Stamper : Altered Postcard Backside

Diese antike Postkartenrückseite ist mein Beitrag zum Mittwochsstempler : Rückseite einer Postkarte verändern.
Ich habe ein Vogelbild mit Folientransfer auf die Postkarte übertragen, alte Notenpapiere, Briefmarke und Siegel aufgeklebt und einige Stempelmotive und Walnusstintespritzer hinzugefügt.
This is my altered postcard backside for wednesday stampers.
I made a transfer of an bird print and added old music paper, a stamp, a signet, walnut ink and rubber stamping to the postcard.

Altered Postcards

Hier sind einpaar veränderte Postkarten, die ich immer über längere Zeit fertig mache. Zunächst bearbeite ich eine Postkarte mit Sandpapier und bemale sie mit Gesso und/oder Acrylfarbe. Dabei verwende ich auch Schablonen und gelochtes Geschenkband. Als nächstes bestemple ich die Karte und schließlich füge ich Zeitungs-, Zeitschriften- und andere Collagebilder und Texte hinzu. Dann wird manchmal nochmal gestempelt oder mit Lack- und Gelstiften etwas hervorgehoben. Alles in allem ist es für mich auch ein guter spielerischer "Aufwärmer", wenn ich z.B. mal lange nicht mit Papier, Farbe und Collageelementen gearbeitet habe.
Here are some altered postcards. I have made them over a longer time period : I have painted them with acryl or gesso, stamped them and added collage material. It is like a good playfull warming up with paper, colors and collage for me when I haven't work with this material during the last days.

4x4 cm cards

Diese drei 4x4 cm Kärtchen sind für Marion für einen Tausch bei Künstlerdecos. Ich habe ja eine Weile nicht mehr mit meinen Stempeln und Papier gearbeitet, sondern viel genäht. Das hat nun wieder richtig Spass gemacht. Marion hatte ihre 4x4 cm Kärtchen so schön auf einer gestempelten Karte untergebracht, daß ich mir gedacht habe, ich mache das genauso. Die Kärtchen sind mit schwarzen Photoecken auf der Postkarte befestigt. Die Titel der Kärtchen sind von oben nach unten : "Spass & Papier", "Regenmacher"und "Immobilienfond".
These three 4x4 cm (1 5/8 x 1 5/8 inch) cards are for Marion for a swap at Künstlerdecos group. I haven't work with rubber stamps and paper for while, because I have sewn in the last weeks more often. And I have had great fun with the cards. Marion fixed her cards at a stamped background and so I did the same. I put the cards with black small photo-fixers on the altered postcard. The titels of the cards are from the top to the bottom: "Joy & Paper", "Rainmaker" and "Real Estate Fund" and the corresponding texts at the cards are "It continues long", "Rain" and "Until the end".

The letter

Ich mag die Poststempel auf Briefen immer so gerne, besonders wenn die Post aus aller Welt kommt. Das macht den Brief von außen dann schon spannend.
I always like the postal stamps on letters. Especially when the letters come from all over the world. They make me curious just from the outside of the letter.

Heute habe ich weitere Briefmarkenbögen bearbeitet. Hier zum Beispiel erst mit wasservermalbaren Kreiden kunterbunte Muster gemalt und dann bestempelt und beklebt.
Today I have made some more faux stamps. These here are made by coloring with watersoluble crayons. Then stamping and glueing some images on.

Altered Postcards

Ich habe mal wieder Postkarten bearbeitet: mit Schleifpapier das Motiv abgeschrubbelt, mit Gesso und Acrylfarbe einen Neuanstrich gemacht, bestempelt und Bilder aufgeklebt.
I like to alter postcards. First step is to rub off some of the original postcard picture with abrasive paper. Then I make one layer of gesso and add acrylics. I stamp it with my favourite rubberstamps and glue some collage pictures onto the postcard.

Nature Forms Postcards

These are altered postcards for a swap of the Paper Traders. I transfered Ernst Haeckel pictures on hundred years old postcards adressed to the "Naturhistorisches Institut Linnea, Berlin" (a naturhistorical institute of my hometown). The transfer comes out perfect, I 'm very happy with the results. I have done the transfer with ink jet prints on transparencies applying isopropylalcohol as transfer medium. All colours are transfered ! Before I made some experiments with different transfer mediums and with the solvent the results are the best.

Crusade No.10 Mail Art

This is the envelope for someone who gets the Frida Collage (surprise, surprise...). At the moment there is still "adress service requested", says the stamping on the upper left corner of the adress tag. The ferroxide-look comes better in person, the envelope is redbrown with green/gold metallic sparkles (please click at the picture for closer view). The perfect background for some cave paintings...
I like it to make coloured and stamped envelopes and it's a lot of fun to get them. It's my entry for the crusade No. 10 of the GPP Street Team .

Today I have made two envelopes. I always like it to get such handmade, altered or stamped mail art. Now mine are on their way (I have deleted the adresses in the photos with Photoshop).
