Altered Book von Loreena "Sonne und Mond"

An einer Mondnacht finde ich das silberne Licht so besonders, alles bekommt ein metallisches Aussehen in diesem Licht.
Wenn man mit geschlossenen Augen in der Sonne sitzt und sich wärmen lässt, hat man ganz viele glitzernde Punkte vor den Augen und die Wärme durchstrahlt einen.
Darum geht es in meinen Bucheinträgen in Loreenas Altered Book.

Altered Book von Ute "Poesie"

Dies ist mein Eintrag für Utes Altered Book. Das Gedicht "Mondnacht" von Eichendorff habe ich ausgesucht, weil es für mich richtig spürbar ist. Von Zeile zu Zeile fühle ich mich friedvoller, leichter und freier - meine Seele spannt die Flügel aus.
Ein so schönes Gefühl - ich hoffe, Ute hat auch etwas davon !
This is an entry in an Altered Book Project from the Künstlerdecos group for Ute. Her book is about poetry. My choice is a poetry about moonnight from Eichendorff. I can not translate it but it is very romantic and full of spirit. You can feel the calmness that is described.

Marions Altered Book "Rules for happiness"

Das ist mein Eintrag in Marions Altered Book zum Thema "Rules for happiness". Ich freue mich sehr oft, wenn ich die kleinen Dinge des Tages erlebe. Das kann ein Eichhörnchen sein , was ich am Baum entdecke oder mich in ein frisch bezogenes Bettchen zum Schlafen einzukuscheln usw. Das macht mich glücklich.

Sandras Altered Book "Das gefährliche Alter"

Das ist mein Eintrag in Sandras Altered Book. Mit dem Thema, welches der Titel des Buches ist, was nun verändert wird, kann ich nicht so wirklich etwas anfangen.
Aber immerhin habe ich für meine Collage ein junges Mädchen voller Hoffnungen im Kommunionsalter mit einer alten Frau voller Erinnerungen kombiniert.

Dianas Altered Book "Lifetime Stories"

Das ist mein Eintrag in Dianas Altered Book "Lifetime Stories". Ich hatte vor einiger Zeit auf dem Flohmarkt eine Mappe mit alten Papieren gekauft. Ein Brief von einem Drucker, der einer Maschinen-Fabrik mitteilt, wie zufrieden er mit einer Schnellpresse ist, war darunter. Außerdem hatte ich in meiner Photosammlung auch Bilder von einem Mann, der auf dem einen Bild in einer Druckerei Buchstaben setzt und auf dem anderen Bild eine Porträtaufnahme von ihm. Ergänzt habe ich die Collage um ein echtes Klischee aus einer Druckerei. D.h. alle Bestandteile sind nicht vom gleichen Drucker, sondern zusammengesetzt zu einer "Lebensgeschichte" eines Druckers.
Ich war selber schon oft in einer echten Druckerei und war ziemlich beeindruckt von den Maschinen, den lauten Arbeitsgeräuschen, den wunderbaren reinen Papieren in der eigentlich von den Tinten schmutzigen Umgebung. Ich glaube, wenn jemand sein Leben lang in so einer Druckerei arbeitet, dann hört er nachts noch den Beat der Maschinen.

Collages Fairy Tales

Die Papiercollagen sind im DIN A5 Format und für ein Projekt der Ashazamis Group. Cynthia hat alte Buchdrucke, dessen Motive bei diesem Tausch alle verwenden. Ich habe die Bilder auf Photopapier ausgedruckt und coloriert. Das Thema meiner Collagen sind Märchen. Wir wollen aus den gleichgroßen Collagen Bücher machen.
These paper collages are in DIN A5 size. I have made them for an Ashazamis group project. Cynthia had these old book plates. And we all decided to use these motifs for this swap. I have printed them on photo paper and gave them color. My collages have the themes of fairy tales. We have the plan to make books from the resulting pages from all.

photo album order

Ein bestelltes Photoalbum ist fertig geworden. Es soll für ein 9 jähriges Mädchen zur Kommunion sein : unbedingt rosa und mit Blumen. Die Seiten habe ich mit Stempeln verziert, es passen immer zwei Photos auf eine Seite.
I have finished a photo album a friend has ordered. It is for a 9 years old girl for her first communion. The album should be absolutely pink and with flowers. I have stamped the pages, each page is for two photos.

Bits for collages

Manchmal ist wirklich schwer, die kleinen Wort- und Textschnipsel für ATCs und Collagen aufzuheben bzw. wieder zu finden. Meine Mutter hat mir nun ein Fotoalbum dafür mitgebracht. Die Schnipsel haften auf der Klebeoberfläche und werden von der Folie geschützt. Ich habe nur noch die Außenansicht vom Album verschönert...
It is hard to organize all the bits of words for ATCs and collages. My mother brought me a foto book for this job. The paper pieces stick reversible on the surface under the protecting film. I have altered the outside of the foto book of course...

Skinny Alphabet Book: Z for "zest of life"

Skinny Alphabet Book: X for "X-Pression"

The challenge for the X page was to embellish the letter X and just to use the X. I have taken a digital collage from a magazine because it has a very strong expression - another good reason for arting ! I have added some stamping and my decorated X.

Skinny Alphabet Book: F for "Fantasy"

Black & White with a Smidgen of Color. That was the challenge for F. "Fantasy" is a good reason for arting, isn't it ? And can you remember how it was to be a child living and learning in your own world of fantasies ?

Skinny Alphabet Book: T for "Tactile"

The skinny book challenge was using either tissue paper or paper dinner napkins for the letter T. I have used tissue paper, gel medium and acryl for the background. I like the feeling of textures and different materials. This kind of sense is a very important reason for arting for me. That's why I have chosen the word "tactile".

For the C page the task was to use a resist technique for the background. Do you know the feeling of curiosity ? Isn't it like dancing pirouettes because of anticipation...

The text says : "What you do is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it."

Skinny Alphabet Book : S like "Secrets"

Creating a bookpage using any every day paperwork you have laying around for the letter "S" book page. I have used a paper for a cake plate as stencil to hide the secret picture in the background and as corner embellishment.
I like art with secrets or hidden meanings, so "secrets" are a very good reason for arting (the theme of my alphabet book).

Skinny Alphabet Book : Letter H like "Heart"

One week later I have finished the bookpage for the Skinny Alphabet Book for the letter H. It's a project of the Paper Traders, every week a book page with a special technique. Last week the use of a dictionary definition from a word starting with H for the H book page.
The theme of my alphabet book is "reasons for arting", so I have started with "HEART". I love this painting of a young woman sitting near a window where the light is falling inside. Smooth like the light is shining on her, art is coming from the heart.
