Mini-Shrine & Jewellery

Für die Kette habe ich richtig lange gebraucht bis sie mir gefallen hat. Das Zentrum ist ein Anhänger aus zusammengenähter Spitze mit Naturperlen und Perlmuttknöpfen. Ausserdem hängt eine Perlmuttscheibe daran mit "home". Die Kette ist aus Kupferringen und alten Perlmuttknöpfen, einer Kupferkette und einzelnen Anhängern aus Glas- und Naturperlen, Muttern und Schlüssel, jeweils mit Draht umwickelt.

Dazu habe ich ein Schmucktäschchen genäht mit Schichten aus Stoffen, Spitze und einem Gedicht. In dem Gedicht geht es eigentlich um die Übergabe eines Myrtenkranzes an eine Braut, aber da beschrieben wird, wie der Kranz Glück und Segen bringen soll, fand ich es wunderbar für die Kette und für Diana, an die die Kette geht.



Der Mini-Shrine ist aus einer kleinen Metallschachtel, der ich Kupferpatina und Rost gegeben habe. Innen sind alte Papiere und ein Bild von einer jungen Frau, die mit offenen Augen und ernstem Gesicht in den Himmel sieht. Daran heftet ein Zettelchen mit dem Wort "éclat". Das französische Wort "éclat" wird vielfältig eingesetzt: "éclat des lumières" ist der Lichterglanz, "éclat de rir" ist schallendes Gelächter und "éclat de verre" ist die Glasscherbe. Im Deutschen gibt es den Eklat, was einen Skandal meint. Diese vielen Möglichkeiten passen so erstaunlich zu dem Bild. Träumt die Frau, hält sie stille Einkehr oder ist es die vergiftete Prinzessin im gläsernen Sarg aus dem Märchen ?

I have made jewellery and a mini shrine. For the jewellery I have take old lace, pearls and buttons and metal pieces. I have sewn a little pocket for the jewellery with a fabric collage and a poem. The poem is for a bride who is getting a crown of myrtle to bring her luck and blessings. So I like the poem also for the jewellery.
The shrine is from a metal box which I have given copper patina and rust. Inside are old papers and a photo with a young woman who is resting with open eyes. I have added a piece of paper with the word "éclat". This french word is used in many ways. Like you can see the young woman: Is she dreaming or thinking or is she the venomed princess in the glassy coffin from the fairy tale ?

Textiler Schmuck : Armband / Button Cuff

Dieses Knopfarmband ist für Claudia für einen Tausch bei Künstlerdecos. Ich habe Kaffe Fasset Stoffe auf Vlies genäht, die Muster per Freihandstickerei mit der Maschine "nachgezeichnet" und Bordüre, Stoffrand mit Farbkontrolldruck und Knöpfe aufgesetzt. Dann habe ich die Rückseite rechts auf rechts aufgenäht und dabei die Verschlußkordeln mitgefasst, das Armband verstürzt und von Hand das offene Stück zusammen genäht. Dann habe ich die zwei Verschlußknöpfe angenäht.
This button cuff is for Claudia for a swap at Künstlerdecos. I have sewn Kaffe Fassett fabric on vilene. Then I have quilted the cuff by freehand embroidery with the machine. I have sewn a lace flower, a piece of color control stripe of a fabric and buttons on the cuff. The backside I have sewn right side on and turned the cuff around. After this I have closed the open side by handsewing.

Torso for Jewellery

I have painted and stamped this torso as a gift for Stefanie in her secret santa sister package. I hope she will put some necklaces on it.

Seashell Brooches and Gift Embellishments

I have made some brooches and gifts embellishment from seashells. I have added little round old pictures, pearls and little semi-precious stones like the oval garnet on the upper brooches at the right side.

Metal Craft Brooche

This a brooche also for a Künstlerdecos group swap. I have stamped a piece of brass foil and embossed the lines of this house motif with a knitting needle. Then I have coloured the embossed house with black acryl. Above this brass house I have put copper net and some metal embellishment. The background is cardboard with black felt on it.
